Founder

Robert Ray

Founded the business following more than 26 years working at the coalface of mining, heavy equipment, and asset-intensive operations across Australia and Africa.

Throughout his career, Robert witnessed firsthand the real cost of ineffective asset management—lost production, inflated maintenance spend, compromised safety, and fatigued teams. Equally, he experienced what is achievable when discipline, systems, data, and leadership are properly aligned. His career includes commissioning ultra-class mining fleets valued at over USD 450 million, transforming national workforces, rebuilding maintenance and reliability strategies, uplifting CMMS maturity, and restoring cost control across complex operations. Robert is known for cutting through complexity and delivering practical, measurable outcomes. The business was founded on a clear belief: effective asset management is not theory—it is execution, accountability, and mastery of the fundamentals.

Today, Robert works as a hands-on partner to clients rather than a distant advisor, bringing deep operational experience, clear strategy, and real-world solutions that materially improve reliability, safety, cost control, and overall operational performance. In addition to his role as co-founder, Robert is also a Director of Australian Engineering & Mining Services (AEMS Pty Ltd), supporting clients across Australia.

His client experience includes working with Deloitte, Rio Tinto, MACA Mining, and Westfill Pty Ltd.

Co-Founders

Beyond the founder’s leadership, the company’s capabilities are strengthened through the combined expertise of its co-founders, whose backgrounds extend the business across reliability engineering, asset management systems, fleet performance, and workforce capability development.

Together, the co-founders bring deep, hands-on experience in heavy mobile equipment reliability, asset lifecycle management, and maintenance execution within complex, asset-intensive mining operations. Their work spans fleet planning, major component rebuild programs, maintenance strategy development, CMMS maturity uplift, and cost governance—delivering consistent improvements in reliability, availability, and lifecycle value. A defining strength of the company lies in the application of data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement methodologies, and ISO 55000-aligned asset management frameworks.

These capabilities enable clients to move beyond reactive maintenance toward structured, disciplined asset strategies that support long-term operational sustainability. Equally important is a strong emphasis on people and capability development. The co-founders have designed and implemented workforce training and competency programs that strengthen technical skills, embed ownership, and build resilient maintenance organizations.

This ensures improvements are not dependent on individuals, but are sustained through systems, processes, and empowered teams. Through this combined capability, the company delivers a balanced approach—integrating technical rigor, disciplined asset strategies, and practical execution—to help clients achieve measurable, sustainable improvements in safety, reliability, cost control, and overall asset performance.
